Losar the Tibetan New Year

We will celebrate with Guru Puja Tsog at 10am in the Nalanda Hall, followed by community lunch at 12pm
It is also the first day of the auspicious period of 15 Days of Miracles, which culminates on the full moon day of Chötrul Düchen, on March 3, 2026.
On Losar we also honor the anniversary of our FPMT founder Lama Yeshe’s passing away in 1984. Zopa Rinpoche requested all FPMT centers to offer an extensive Lama Chöpa with Tsog.
The Losar 15 days of miracles is a period where the results of all our actions are multiplied many times, so we can purify enormous amounts of karma by doing virtuous and compassionate actions.
Circumambulate the stupa, turn the prayer wheel, do something kind each day and make aspirational prayers for the welfare of all.
