Interfaith Gathering for World Peace

We are hosting an interfaith gathering and celebration on October 17th, 2026, 10am – 12pm followed by a potluck lunch. 

The aspiration of this gathering is to come together in prayer, song, and shared intention to celebrate our common humanity, and to extend compassion, healing, and peace to all beings and to the world.

We hope that members from a range of cultures, faiths and practices in the Nelson region may come together to offer prayers, chants, songs, or any other meaningful contribution. Every community group will be allocated a time to share.  We invite all communities to be present for the entire sharing, both to offer their own contribution and to witness and receive the offerings of others. Once all communities have shared, we will gather for a shared potluck lunch together at the Chandrakirti Homestead.
