Music Day Program of Events

On the Main stage

11.00am       Weave – urban folk music with acoustic guitar, harmony and rhythms

12 noon        Captain Underpants street theatre comedy with Rob Bloor.

12.30            Ederlezi Folk Music – enchanting lively European folk music with Roger, Adrian and Grant

2pm              Caitlin and Sika –weaving earth tones, mantras and ecstatic sounds

3.30pm         Sambo de Sol - bringing the vibrant rhythms of Brazilian samba creating joy, play and upbeat dance.

4pm              Gypsy Pickers Ron Valente - Soulful reggae rock medicine music

5.30pm         Grio – drum and percussion ensemble playing lively dance rhythms

7pm             Pan Harmonics – Roger and Adrian on Hung Drums, mystical insightful sounds

                   Rob Fire Nix  - Fire show – Juggling and playing with fire! 

In Nalanda Hall  

10am           Sunday morning meditation with Geshe Jampa Tharchin

11.45am      Sound Healing concert with symphonic gong, Tibetan singing bowls and other sounds with Maureen McKain and Francheska Francina

 1.00            Poets Corner

2.00             Kath Bee –  Nelson’s most sought after Children’s songwriter and entertainer.  Her songs get stuck in your head!  Both kids and adults love her.

3.00pm        Lethea Erz –solo harp to soothe body, mind, heart and spirit

4pm             Inachord – Riverside choir with wonderful harmonic human voices.

4.30pm        Mantras and Music Caitlin chanting praises to the divine.

5.30pm        Stories from Tibet with Geshe Jampa Tharchin

 

For the Children

12pm and 1pm        Captain Underpants – Rob Bloor comedy theatre

2.30pm                    Kath Bee – songs in Nalanda Hall

4.30pm                    Roger Sanders – story teller Tipi area

Bouncy Castle, Mani Stone painting, Felting flowers, Icecreams and a big garden to play in!

Ice creams and coffees.

Bring the whole family for a fantastic fun day – take a tour round the centre – paint a mani stone– dance - children listen to stories, sing, paint and play in the big garden.

Guided Tours of the Centre, 1.00pm, 2pm and 3pm

Meet at the stupa and the background, philosophy and significance of the center and holy objects will be explained during the tour.
