In the troubled times of this world Chandrakirti Meditation Centre is a much needed haven of hope promoting healing and the development of a good heart, which includes cultivation of compassion and loving kindness. Chandrakirti Meditation Centre teaches principles for right livelihood that are universally applicable promoting harmonious environments for the cultivation of inner wisdom and peace. From the beginning Chandrakirti Meditation Centre has been blessed with many extraordinary teachers offering their guidance and wisdom to a wide variety of students form all walks of life. The meditation hall and stupa were officially opened and blessed in May 2002 by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama whose teaching of inspiration are the foundation of the Centres many activities. The sincere energy plus the stunning physical beauty of the rural setting, with its many holy objects, traditional Tibetan artwork and superb Tara Temple gives Chandrakirti Meditation Centre a unique and special quality for facilitating healing of body and mind. We have one resident Sanga member – Venerable Jampa Youdon who caretakes Nalanda Meditation Hall, and a community of devoted practitioners. Buddhists and non Buddhists alike are warmly invited to enjoy the centre, its many artifacts and small shop during daylight hours all year round.
