Have you ever wanted to learn to felt wool? Or, admired the beautiful scarves, bags and clothes made by felting? Come and learn a range of basic and Feltingintermediate techniques, with a focus on making and completing your own projects. Regina is very experienced and regularly runs workshops in Motueka.

Lesson 1: Saturday 9.30-12.30pm: Felting for beginners and basic felting techniques

Lesson 2: Saturday 1:30-5.00pm: Making a bag, purse or pouch and further felting techniques

16 Guidelines workshops are filled with practical tools for a more meaningful, fulfilled life. The idea is simple: to change the way we experience the world, we transform the way we think, act, relate and find meaning.

The workshop teaches participants how to develop a good, open heart. Students will learn how to develop a daily mindfulness practice and integrate the 16 Guidelines into in daily life, in personal, family and professional contexts. Based on Buddhist teachings, 16 Guidelines are an evidence based secular method for achieving a happy meaningful life. Workshops are suitable for people of all ages, faiths and cultural traditions.

Participants receive a completion certificate and are able to connect with the wider 16 Guidelines community through online platforms. This is a great professional development opportunity for you and your staff.

Wendy is an accredited facilitator by the international organisation Universal Education for Compassion and Wisdom (UECW). She has over 30 years experience in Universal Education, teaching and wellbeing.

16 Guidelines Graphic and PicsWendy Ridley HeadshotHaving met Lama Yeshe in 1977 Wendy was inspired by his vision of Universal Education (UE). She did post graduate work with the aim of incorporating some of his ideas into mainstream classrooms. Wendy has over 30 years experience working in education - as a teacher, university lecturer, education department advisor and consultant specialising in religious education, philosophical enquiry and diversity issues. This provided her with skills and passion to develop, deliver and oversee training programmes. Wendy has been involved in the development of FDCW as a Board member since 2004. As a Senior 16G Facilitator she thrives on running 16G workshops and editing UE materials. Wendy has worked in 5 very different FPMT centres and was the director of Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds for over 7 years. She enjoys exploring how the universal values embodied in the 16G programme can bring opportunities for personal development, cross-cultural peaceful co-existence and ethical dialogue.
